Thread: What should I do as far as lowering?

    The only complaint that I have heard with the new leaf packs is that the towing rating will be affected, since a 4.3 fullsize is only capable of towing anything short of a small lawn trailer...i'm not at all worried. Hopefully the softer spring rate might make the truck more comfortable.

    Most don't run the leaves in the rear because they ride terrible. The only ones worth getting are the Hotchkis leaves and they're pretty stiff. Shackles and hangers or a flip kit allow you to keep the factory ride. I think a 2/5 drop is a good DD height; but you'll probably end up having to notch. I'm at 3/6 and I scrape occasionally because the roads here are in such bad shape.

    Slam air lowered air helper springs will make the ride better. I have them on mine and they are great I can tow anytime I want and adjust the height and the ride.

    i wanna go 2/4 with LCA's and shackles and hangers from DJM when i drop mine. im stuck tho im trying to decide between this kit:Lowering Kits | DJM Suspension Lowering Kits | Stylin' Concepts
    and the pro kit:

    i figured the pro kit would be the best any comments?

    5-7 is to low u cant go fast an it hit where ever have a 5-7 just get a 4-6 thats low an smoth ride
    5.3 ext cab fully bolton eber tune ....13.5@ 103mph cant get better than that .

    just do 4\6 put the flip kin and spindles 2''springs and get the c notch it will ride better than stock and some drop socks
    2004 tahoe new front end shaved gas thank shave rear wiper and handle shaved roof rack hid head and fog lights 22'' vzo wheels all plastic inside painted led back tail lights 5.3 with spacer 373rear end corsa exhaust no cats flash pack programer 150 shot of nos k&n intake.... up coming mods cam, 3200 stall 410 gear and pacesetter headers..

    Yeah Ive decided to go with a 4/6 drop, 2/4 isnt low enough for me and 5/7 is to low for a DD...
    Stock 06 LT for now...
