Thread: Picked up My 5.3 Engine 2004 from SSR

    I scored a 5.3 out of a 2004 SSR with about 650 miles

    #862 HEADS
    ROCKER
    PUSH RODS
    VALVE COVERS
    TIMING CHAIN COVER
    ETC

    I am now going to need to get the rest to get it running

    Need to locate oil pan, and top end, ect

    Not sure, 5.3 or Lt1

    Good find! Are those blocks from the ssr aluminum??

    How did you come across such a deal. Was the SSR wrecked or something?

    i thought they had ls1 5.7 in them?
    old set up: 2002 chevy 5.3, procharger 12lbs boost, asm headers, ls1 edit, flames, 20inch budniks

    New Set up: 2004 chevy 5.3 ext cab, 12 inch twisted suspension lift, 36's, exhaust.
    future mods: 150-200 shot, ls1 edit, air intake, stall, 5.13 gears, 12s or bust

    Yes the SSR was wrecked. Also if you check chevy's website it is a 5.3L Aluminum Block.

    Soon the fun begins, I am going to put a t56 behind it.

    They are aluminum 5.3s.
    We have a customer that has one.
    We still have not talked him into bringing it in for a dyno. run
    1990 SWB 2000 5.3l 4l60e
    It's in just tieing up the loose ends.
