A Z06 cam w/ some roller tip rockers will net about the power w/ not as much cost. Just a thought, not trying to be a jerk.

Do you have any dyno charts of an identical truck to back that up? I'm very interested in this.

I'll be proving/disproving your comment shortly, I have a 5.3L here that is going on the dyno someday and we'll be testing several cam grinds, I'll include the z06 cam in this group.

If there are any other cam grinds you guys would like to see and we can obtain them, we'll try them out.

    thanks,
    allen

This is exactly why we're doing it, so you guys can see what mods make the best power!

From headers to turbo's, we're gonna test it all.

I would be interested in seeing what you can do along the lines of a towing package on a 5.3. basically increasing low end tq up to about 3,000rpm.
I have a wait for me tune, Gibson shorties,LT1 fans and 3.73s pulling a 5600lb camper.
I keep kicking myself for not getting lts instead of the gibsons as I think that would help me most. I get 11mpg towing and it does a lot better towing since i put the gears in, but it could alwaysbe better. The big thing is I don't want to sacrifice mileage.

With the mods in this article when will the truck start to need more fuel? Will it be as simple as new injectors or will it need a new pump as well? Also will it have to be retuned to get more fuel?
