    Another newb from Kansas

    Hey all!

Newb from the land of OZ!

    Jeep CJ8 Scrambler NUT!

I am in the process of building and offroad trail Scrambler. I plan to swap in a 5.3 mated to a TH400. The motor I purchased is from an 2004 Tahoe with 1500 miles (not a typo). The harness has been take to five wire hookup, computer flashed. Other than that I am searching, reading and learning.

I am a member of the SOA (Scrambler Owners Association) a National group of Jeep Scrambler Owners. Our club built a Scrambler from scratch with all donated parts and labor. It is to be raffled off with proceeds split going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and BlueRibbon Coalition. Most of it was put together by my father and I at our hobby - workshop.

    WIN this Jeep Scrambler!

Welcome to LS1truck! Hopefully we can help you with any of your questions you have on the swap! There are several things you can do to the 5.3L to get some more hp/tq out of it. Try a cold air intake/snorkel, mid-length headers, pulleys, efans, and a custom tune.
Let us know if we can help!
