Well, technically, he traded the WS6 for the new '07 Z71 Silverado Classic. Lots of issues, stuff breaking, too much $$$, etc. The Miata he bought more recently because like many of us, he can't stop moding cars! As for why it had to be a Miata, I have no clue. Granted, he did get it cheap and it did have tons of $$$ into it already with the turbo and lots of shiny gauges.

But like I told him before he bought it... regardless how fast it is or eventually will be... it'll always be a miata.

Well, at least he traded the WS6 in for something cool... I can totally see why he wanted a Miata--they are fun-to-drive cars! They gave a HUGE following and many owners have Miata clubs. And I bet he isn't really tall, is he? But you gave the best advice around--It'll always be a Miata.

I wont knock a Miata. They handle very well, and if a good suspension kit and tires are on, will handle probably in the top 10 in the world of production cars. the motor is were its lacking. ive seen everything from S2000 honda motors, turbos, superchargers, ford and chevy v8 swaps. Ive even seen 13b, and 20b, mazda rotaries because the engines are junk. they are reliable, but not powerful. As for your gm.... I like it. its real classy, and powerful looking.
