    Replacing door handle

Well my passenger side handle has been cracked since i owned the truck and it finally got to the point where one of the bolts broke away from the handle. So i got a new GM replacement one, and im wondering how in the heck do i put this one on??

it has 3, what almost look like bolts, molded into the handle, do i need to remove the inner door pannel to get at the original ones to unbolt it??

anyone know what size those nuts should be?

    thanks again, Andy

Remove the door panel and make sure the window is rolled up. You can stick your hand up there and get 2 of the nuts off. On the doorjam there is a little round rubber plug, take that out and you can get to the third there. After that be sure to wiggle the handle out enough you can get the 2 rods off, and dont break the clips.

They are 10mm nuts, its pretty easy, just hope you have a small hand to get the 2 inside ones. GL

Yeah, like Daniel said--don't break those plastic clips! And make sure that you pop off the power window/door panel to get to the other screws that hold the interior panel to the door frame. You are probably going to want to change the key lock cylinder too... Use a pick to take the "c-clamp" or keeper ring off--don't loose that either! Once the c-clamp is off, switching the lock cylinders is easy...

finally got it done, took about 30 min total, sucked though because it was only like 15 degrees out here, and i have no garage to work in, but you have to twist your hand pretty good to get the top one secured but all in all it was pretty simple.

    thanks for the help
