    New addition from Oshkosh, WI

Name is Rick, I was directed to this site by Nitrous. My current project is a 1996 GMC Sierra K1500. We swapped the 5.7 Vortec with a 6.0L LQ9 bored and stroked to 408CI and added a 12psi Procharger F1a.

Welcome to the site Rick! Nitrous is a good guy and knows a lot about LSX based motors. You've hooked up with a great resource! And your current project sounds pretty badass! Any pics? Time slips? What config is it? RCSB? ECSB? Have you modded the drivetrain in anyway? i sure hope you have..or you are going to break something quick!

The rear has been beefed up a little including Strange gearing and an Eaton carbon fiber clutch disk posi. The driveshaft will be upgraded when I decide what I am doing with the trans, transfer case, and rear end. It has a 4L60E that was built for my 5.7 Vortec with a Whipplecharger but not for anything this big. I'm considering an atlas transfer case and a ford 9 inch rearend as well. Nothing purchased so far but soon.

WTF?!??!! At 12 psi, you are laying down 606 hp and 646 lb./ft.????? Holy crap man...that 408 is effin badass! And with the built 4L60e for the L31 is not going to be able to last under those high power numbers... You should slap on a 80e with a Phoenix torque converter...
