    Fuel Gauge (yes I searched)

I am trying to remember if the gauge needle falls to empty when the ignition is/was shut off before the swap (again 1992 c1500 and he oe harnesses cut).

It seems like my gauge needle is not falling when I shut off the ignition. When I turn the ignition back on the needle will climb. Example::: turn off with 1/4 full showing /// turn on, it rises to half /// next turn on, it will rise to 3/4 and so on, until the needle reaches about a 4'oclock position, then never moves.

This post, has no conclusion, but sounds similar > http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/lsx-t...uel-gauge.html

My 1991 always did that. It was an everyday thing.
1991 c1500. 5.3l and 4l60e swap in progress, next paint and body.

As it turns out the sending unit is not grounding correctly. I will splice in and add an extra grounding spot.

    Thanks.

I am having trouble with my dash. The tach, fuel gage, and I think oil pressure are not working. However my spedo does work.. We did an LQ9/LS6 upgrade to my 1996 GMC.. Any thoughts?

Oh ya engine temp doesn't show correct either. I've checked it with HPTuners and it reads correct. Not sure what's up, maybe a bad ground. I'll check that next.

My grounding and wiring problems come from the truck being stolen and stripped and the cutting of the OE harnesses.

I have used a Nelson harness and PCM tune. The tach wire that comes out of the pcm sends a different signal than my 1992 tach reads. Causing my tach to run about half RPM's. Thus, I needed to purchase a module from Bakerelectronix > http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7erz1/id1.html#tsdmod <. The module I purchased is the ATSD. Does it work,, don't know I have not put it in yet.

I have yet to tackle the Oil and Water. For the water temp I know I need to use the '92 OE sending unit and wire that in to the appropriate wires. I am going to install it into the plug that is on the rear of the right head (by the rear exhaust port).

The BakerElectonix tach module works great. I worked with him to get the the first one right and my tach read perfectly in my 92 with LS1.

We had it working perfectly with the drive by cable but when we went to drive by wire we lost everything on the dash except for the spedo.
