    They are torque to yeild bolts and are designed to stretch a specific amount. Once they are stretched they will not repeat the exact same stretch the next time through. If you want reusable bolts buy ARP bolts or studs.

    Got it, so it was truth behind it.

    I am pulling the engine this weekend to try to find the sound, and I figure I will start with the oil pan now, since the bolts are re-usable.

    Man who would have thunk Chevy now can re-use a head gasket, but have to swap the head bolts....Let me guess, they cost waaay more than head gaskets?!

    Well I guess you have to swap something!

    soon to come is a intake and exhaust. (wifes truck)

    Other vehicle is a 03 2500HD CC/SB 6.6L DMAX straight piped and Edge stacked with Superchips and gauges, Loves to eat rice for sure! Fartcan exhaust makes it better!

    Just reuse the stock gaskets, the pacesetter gaskets are crummy. . . they dry rott and get rock hard to the headers . . and they crack !
