Is there another connector or plug on the brake pedal? Do you have cruise control? It sounds like you are tapping into the cruise control wires.
If you have the Painless manual 90530 on page 8 they show how to use a relay and the brake light wire. Might want to try that.

your brake swith should have two sets of contacts, 1 set is hot on both sides when brakes are applied, this is the wires to brake lights, second set will be hot on one side but not on other when brakes are applied, this is the side you want to hook to, may not help you but just incase you didnt do it that way, might be easier to buy a new brake switch , might hae a bad one

I would start checking other things before getting hung up on the tcc wiring. I don't have the tcc wired up in my Chevelle with a 6.0/4L80 and it shifts fine.
Didn't you say that originally you were going to go with a 4L80 but then kept the stock 4L60?
What is your wiring harness and pcm set up for?
I just reread the previous posts and read that the harness/pcm is setup for a 4L80.
If you're just plugging this in to a 4L60, I don't know how its going to work properly since the pinouts for the transmission connector are different between the two. I can dig up my wiring schematics if you need, but you're going to probably have to add a wire to the trans connector, since the 80 uses one less wire than the 60.
Thanks for the help everyone. I have the wiring right, my 4L80e from 94 just doesn't match up to the 6.0 in there. I am now looking for one that will, I guess 98 and up will work, just trying to find a good one.
