Thread: 4.3 to 5.3.

  1. #1

    4.3 to 5.3.

ok. first off, i have used the search button pretty heavily, but i am still not entirely sure what this will require.

the donor motor i came across is complete w/accessories, harness, manifolds, and fly by wire module.

if there is a complete write up that i missed, or didn't realize was pertinent to this combo, feel free to suggest such,
otherwise, any advice will be appreciated.

    thanks,
    robert

ok so you wont have any TB connection issues at all. Make sure you get both frame mounts and motor mounts. What specific acc. does it come with?

comes with all accessories. i'm going to assume that nbs refers to new body style, which may mean 2004, so the stick on the v8 conversion page applies to me. if you could verify that, it would probably help me out

nbs is new body style. Since you are staying within the same year group on your truck and the motor, you shouldn't have hardly any issues at all as far as wiring. By year group I mean 99-02 and 03-06. You will need motor mounts and motor mount registers (part between the body and the frame).

If you have any specific questions then just ask and I'm sure you can get an answer from someone on here. Ducky just did his 4.3 to 5.3 swap and I finished mine about 2 months ago so everything is probably still fresh on our minds.
