i was actually thinking about swapping my 5.3 to an ls1 because of the mileage and i think i just blew a head gasket...but i was wondering this same question...do i need a new harness, tranny (because of the power upgrades in the ls1 like an ls1 hotcam) from a 4l60e? maybe?...anything...i guess my question and Red's question is it a direct bolt up and plug and play with the ls1? cause i wasnt guessing it was
