    1999 Z71 Build

Well thought i would start a build thread for my 1999 Z71 build. The goal is to make daily diver toy/work hauler.

I want 500whp and reliable power.

    Story on the truck

My parents neibour has had this truck for 8 years and he bought a suburban due to growing family. So the truck sat in the driveway for a month and i walked over asked him how much he said $3500. Told a few friends no bites, so 3 months later i came home and i was nlike how much you want for the truck. I made him a offer and he accepted the $2200 then he said it $2000. So cut him a cheque and month goes by and not cashed. Well in the end i ended up giving him Diablo sport programer,Volant intake,Air raid TB spacer. EBC pads front and rear and new rotors.

Im in the Airforce and live 3 hours from my folks so my dad drove he truck down to me at my new house. The truck ran flawless . Parked it and wanted to take it for a drive, soon as i started it no oil ressure so checked all conections and all good brand new oil in motor. So ended up thinking it was the oil pump till i got the pan off and wow sludge lol. So put a new pump and cleaned th bottom end up Checked all the rod bearings and they looked like new.

The truck needs new rockers and new rear fender arches slight rust.

Plan is for the body to keep the body stock color no paintjob. Cut rust out and put new fende arches in rear and paint oem and put OEM style fender flares over so i can hide the blend lines and look OEM. Put in new rockers and paint from the factory body line down on both sides. Im currently looking for a 2500HD hood and grille and upper bumper cover in the same color if close drive if not ill buy one new and aint.

Also lucked in on a right front fender OEM color no dents.

    Here are some pics.
