I have been trying to figure out what kind of transmission is in my sierra. It's a 5 spd and I just been wanting to find some info on it. Trying to figure out what to do with this truck since I drive it all the time and want to pull a little more power and mpg out of it. Figured changing my gears will help a little with the mpg issue from 3.10 to 3.73. Any ideas? would going to a 6spd help at all?
