lets start from the beginning:
tools - socket set, flat head, vice grips, ratchet strap and a 36mm wrench. you can borrow the wrench from an auto parts store if you dont have one.
take off the cover, top half of the fan shroud, all hoses
you can do one of two things
1.you can use the strap to hold the pulley in place then turn the 36mm wrench counterclockwise as you see it from the front of the vehicle looking toward the engine.
2.take the water pump off the engine. use a set of vice grips to hold the pulley and turn the fan in the same direction as stated before until the vice grips catch on the pump. should be able to break it this way but you might mess up the pulley in the process.
