oil pan, and motor mount adapters for obs

Hello, ok I picked up an 03 lq4 with 31,000 miles, in great shape, I have a new question. I have always worked on gen1 motors until now, I always remove the distributor, and use an oil pump primer to prime up the pressure before being started. Is there a way to prime the oil pressure on a gen 3 motor, and also what kind of brackets do you guys use to pick up these style motors. One more thing, my 6.0 has the flat flexplate and from my reading here, I think all I need to do is use the pilot adapter and elongate the TC mount holes in the flexplate in order to bolt up my 95 trans and TC, am I correct. Thanks
