Ok, i finally got my hoses and mechanicals all hooked up ( not the pulley yet, waiting for a belt), so now i'm connecting all the ac wiring stuff.

First of all, i tore my harness all apart and removed all the connectors and wiring i wasn't using, wow does the passenger side look nice now, pics later,

so here's my problem, i'm using a z28 pcm, and a 01 truck harness. the low pressure side hose has a pressure switch on it and that hooks up fine, it goes from the interior controls, thru the low pressure sensor and then to the pcm, that tells the pcm there's a request for the ac to come on, assuming the pressure is ok, i believe it is like 28psi.

next i have the clutch and clutch relay hooked up, when the pcm sees that the low and high pressure switch is ok, it turns on the clutch relay pin, which in turns goes thru the relay and then activates the compressor clutch,

so, now it's time to hook up the high pressure side sensor, it calls for three wires, one is a 5v reference, the other ground and the other a sensor wire. the problem is , the z28 pcm says that the 5v ref pin is pin57, but on the truck harness that is the ground for the IAC, doh, so now what?

here's my solution will it work.

tell the pcm that the high pressure sensor is ok, i guess by connecting the sensor wire pin to 5v or grounding it , whatever it wants to see, that takes care of that.

then putting the high pressure sensor wiring in series with the low pressure sensor, so if the high pressure or low pressure sensor dectects something out of it's tolerence, it will open the sensor line and cut the clutch off. That is exactly how it's connected in my 94 setup, both the cycling/low pressure and high pressure switches are in series, either one opens and the clutch disengages. So how's that sound, Jeff/anyone? anymore ideas, thanks for the help so far ,

thanks,

allen
