To start off with, I would recommend doing a CAI and some exhaust work (if the wifey doesn't mind a little rumble. You could do some mid-length headers to improve the lower and mid-range torque numbers. A new muffler is needed too. You could also do some 05 stock e-fans and some pulleys. Besides that, a custom tune needs to be done as well. Contact Allen Nelson for all of your tuning needs.

On the subject of the CAI, I was kicking this idea around on another forum. Along the side of the radiator, on the air intake side, there is a flap that runs up and down the length of the radiator tank. It looks like the heat shield for the K&N will go past that. I think if you removed it, or rolled it back (as opposed to cutting it out in case you wanted to put it back) it would let the air straight in at the filter. There is also a thicker plastic plate on the back side of the headlight assembly, in front of the air box. If that was removed as well, I would think you would get a pretty good ram effect going on with the air coming straight through the front end and into the K&N heat shield. You'd need a filter wrap most likely because being that close to the front you might get water coming through when it rained.
