    dbw to DBC conversion help

What is needed to convert a dbw to DBC. Harness and ecm will be standalone I just need info on what is required to modify the engine.. Do I just need to swap throttle bodies?

I ask because I have option to buy low mileage lq9 for fair price no harness its dbw and I want DBC. Just a personal preference. Read that I need to drop crank to make the swap . harness will be custom made and ecm tuned for whatever application I need. Just can't find straight forward answer to my question in the forums.

Found my own answer. If anyone else needs to know. 2007 and prior truck and SUV motors still use *24 reluctor. So only thing needed to swap from dbw to DBC is the cable tb and the actual cable. Harness is stand alone so order it for DBC application. Swap parts and install!

The PCM you use has to be able to control the IAC

For me, using the DBW setup was pretty seamless. I think I would go to a DBC setup if I was building a race motor because in racing, every tenth of a second counts and you don't want to have any lag at all. I haven't notice the slightest bit of hesitation in my throttle and I'm pretty sure they took out what lag there was when they did the tune on my PCM. The only downside was having to fit the pedal and the fact that I can't move the throttle blade manually when I'm standing over the engine. Other than those, I actually don't even notice that it's a DBW type throttle. In my Subaru however, lag city!! But that's another story!
