Coming along! It's always that last 10% that always seems to take the longest.
What brand cowl hood do you have?
long time since an update. i had back surgery and had to lay off the truck for a while to recover. it's crazy how a few blown out disks can make your legs feel like there's lightning shooting through them! anyways....sold off the holley 750 and got a quick fuel q-850 that needs a rebuild. before i sold the holley i did a few laps around the block. i only have 2nd and reverse because the trans controller isnt hooked up yet. the rear diff cover hasnt been installed yet either. that didnt stop me fron driving it around the block though!
also since my last post, i have installed a narrowed 8.8 rear with the tubes welded, carbon clutches and 4.10 gears. i installed tubular uppers along with the tubular lowers that were already there along with adjustable QA1 coil overs on the front. the Dr released me to light work outs in the gym, so i'm assuming i can start picking away at the truck again.
the final stance after the rear end change and qa1 coilovers.
and a quick video if you click on the picture
anyways, if i can come up with the money to finish it by the shootout, i will drive it there and home. i seriously doubt it will be race ready, but possibly road ready if i pull my tampon and bust some knuckles.
What springs did you use with your cam?
just spent my last big chunk of change on this thing. innovate MTX-I wideband, mandrel bends to finish exhaust, mufflers, tach, software for my transmission controller, trans temp gauge, pillar pod, trick-flow diff covor...basically everything to finish the build. i sold my holley 750dp and i'm waiting on my quick fuel 850 DP to come in. i really hope to be able to drive it to the SAR shootout. i see light at the end of the tunnel!
Nice!
thanks. just got the axles finished up over the weekend, slid them in, and got the trick-flow diff covor and fluid in. the transmission controller is now in and working. it still seems like a lot of work to get done in time to drive it to SA on the time i have to wrench. I'll get it there somehow unless somethine unexpected comes up.
