    if you plan on doing anything besides cruise get something else. like has been said you cant haul anything, also since they are as soft as they are from being so flat i bet they cause some mad bunny hop at the track.

    as far as towing goes you will be just fine with a stall. ive towed several things all over including through city with my truck when it had a lose 3200 in it.
    its just a turbo 5.3 that a couple of kids threw together

    i have a set of 4" drop leaf springs on my 95 1500. havent taken it for a ride yet since im still putting the truck together but my buddy who has the same truck and did a flip kit with shackles and when he tows a trailer or even load up the bed the stock leafs bottom out and the bump stops bottom out... i figure if my suspension is too stiff id rather that over bottoming out the rear suspension and having to deal with that god awful noise and feeling when it does..

    i hope to have my truck running within this month so then maybe i can come back in here and share abetter pinion on my set up.

    Youre trying to say that adding drop leafs would make your suspension stiff???? Youre on the wrong end of the ball park there...its the exact opposite thats why you cant tow. You load the bed down with feathers and youre gonna bottom out.

    Yeah its not really a truck anymore once you put drop leafs on....but if someone wants some I'll make them a deal

    well since i havent actually driven the truck yet with the dop leaf springs i cant make an education opinion about it but i will tell you thi the eafs i got have more leaf springs then my factory ones which based on how leaf springs work you add leafs to stiffen and take away leafs to lower or make it softer.

    on top of that i did load up my suspension to tighten it all down and when i loaded it up the suspension travel from it hanging to being loaded on the drop leaf springs were minimal. as to where the stock leaf springs had a softer and greater suspension travel.

    my buddy has the same truck as me similar drop in regards to height and with a one trailer with a 70 toyota corolla rolling chasis it was bottoming out nasty.


    i'll do this by the end of this month when my truck is on the street i'll load up his trailor with the same car and see what happens.

    but like i said im speaking on what i have seen before. add more leafs and the srping becomes stiffer take away leafs and it become less stiffer and lowers ride height.

    i could be wrong but based on what ive seen on my truck and his that how i feel aout it. i alos plan on putting helper bags on the rear but to be honest even stock height trucks when you load a trailor on the back can benefit from helper bags to.. unless you like that reveresed rake look on your truck.

    Do a flip kit. You will be bottoming out on the frame with hangers and shackles. C notch is the way to go to not bottom out. A set of helper bags is a must and with them you can tow. I am going to sell a set of helper bags in a couple of weeks.
    Don't forget a set of lower shocks. They are real important.

    Depends on if you want the compressor and air gauge + paddle switch or just the bags. I won't have them ready till after thanksgiving.
