I have a 1999 Silverado and just took advantage of the hidextra black friday sale got Hi beams and Low Beams can I still just ground out the negative wire on the drivers side light and achieve the 4hi mod or is there another way I have to do it?

You can either use a diode at the relay.... or add a 2nd relay.
I chose the second method (I'm not a big fan of relays)...basically you use the ground wire of the brights to ground the low beams. That way...lows work like normal, when you put on brights, all 4 come on. There should be a sticky about it, if not do a search, I know I put a wiring diagram up last year at some point. I can go outside and look at the wires if you really need me to.

If you could hook me up with a diagram that would rock. I have tried searching no luck. Everyone I see just grounds straight to the truck.

Yep I read that thread post number 20 confirms I just ground the light out to the truck. I just didn't know if it was different with Hids. Thanks
Just ground it upstream of the ballast.

can't use a diode on a 99 - there's only 1 relay. do the ground method. takes all of a few minutes. i don't know why you got HID highs, though. unless you're gonna always have them on long enough for them to fully warm up all the time, the bulbs are gonna have a shortened life switching back & forth that much
