I talked to a buddy of mine that has a 2008 RCSB that had the mud guards on it from the factory when he bought it. He said he took them off when he lowered his truck and the paint was worn away from where the guards touched the body. Ummm......no thanks!

Yea, the previous owner had a bug guard on the hood. I took it off, and there were some wear marks in the paint from the contact points, a couple went through the primer too! I touched them up, and have to leave the guard on untill I can buy a cowl hood. Accessories can suck it!

Everybody makes fun of my flaps, they've been on there since the truck was 2 weeks old. If I didn't have them, there would be no paint left behind my tires, even those first two weeks left lots of chips. Now I'm sure most are just in the clear, but it's black so I notice everything. So when the body job comes, it's getting rhino lined where you can't see and a 4" clear vinyl strip all along the bottom.

Rock guard paint ftw. It's textured like rhino lining, but is also cleared and painted to match. I don't know why they didn't use this stuff from the factory.
