    new guy from frisco tx

hey, my name is matt, got a small group of guys going here in DFW of local chevy/gmc trucks, bout 10 of us so far, would like to make the group bigger, make apperances at car shows, meet some cool guys and see some cool trucks,

i drive a 1988 chevy silverado, its a single cab short stepside bed. red with a silver rocker panel, bought the truck and it overheated on the way home(bad gauge) and i blew the motor, dropped a 4 bolt 5.7 350 in it, put a nice set of heads on(casting number 916) and advanced the timing 12degrees, 6 days after i put the motor in, the tranny went out due to the kick down cable not being adjusted right, so i put a beefed up 700r4 in it, and i cant wait to get a turbo 350 or 400 cause this one sucks! stock rear end, but a really clean nice chevy for a 1988, has stock exhaust and then a flowmaster 40 series dumped, i have headers, but not installed yet. best run on the 1/8th so far is 9.8... i average about 21mpg hwy, 18 all around, 14 city.

you can add me on facebook if youd like at http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/BigGoofy55
also you can see pictures of the whole process of what i have went through with my truck, but sooner or later when i get the chance, i will post up a thread on here with all the pics for anyone that wants to see! thanks for letting me join!

i uploaded a few into my album on here, but i have a whole lot more of the build
