    Ignition wire clearance.

I had severe problems with the ignition wires on my 02 rcsb silverado. I ended up purchasing a 25 dollar set of Oreilly's Ominspark brand wires for a 98' C1500. They have the coil end terminal and a 90dg boot on the other end. I looped the two wires on the driver's number five and seven primaries under the number five primary tube. It made it alot easier having almost a foot of wire to play with. Other than ignition wires, they are a wonderful set of headers for the price and were perfect for waking up my 4.8L. And now with freshened heads and a 6.0L cam, my 4.8L really makes some power.

I have em and like em. They are identical to OBX's. I initially used some metal bands to reatin the wires against the head. But have now just put protective sleeves on the wires.

I hear that the 2002 camaro kook headers work on 99 and up trucks. Is this true?

I have quite an extensive thread on these headers, and their install on my 2002 Z71, on another forum.

I measured them internally and came up with 1-5/8" primary diameter, but it seems that the true way to measure primary pipe is externally, in which case they measure 1-3/4"...
