I run a pinion snubber and super stock springs on my '63 Plymouth Fury. It's powered by a 511" HEMI with a 4-speed manual trans. Hooks damn good. Here's a pick of the power plant...

Cool car! 4 speeds load the suspension a little different than an auto does. I've tried with and without it on my 67 Coronet and it launches better without it. This is of course an auto with 3k stall behind a 500" lowdeck. I've coaxed mid 11's with it on street tires (not drag radials) and an 1.80 60's with a 3978lb. weight. I have played with clamping the front spring segments though.
Id say a heavier rear bumper![]()
