It's common to seed brackets 1-16, 2-15, etc. #16 is not the slowest, just the slowest to QUALIFY for THAT shootout.

Love the day and night track rental. Does that double the cost? If it came down to it I bet some folks wouldnt mind pitching in a little extra to make it happen. Keep us posted on fund raising and sponsorship support.

I used to help with hunting related banquets and one thing we did was to put packages together of donated items or services and then sell raffle tickets. Not every potential sponsor can pony up cash but a lot of them might be willing to donate items or services. Have someone type up a program and list the donors in there so they get a little name recognition. I'll shut up now before I get volunteered

Also love the fastest 16 idea. Its the best way to run it even if there are a few lopsided races in round one.

Round one being lopsided is not a given as we are talking TRUCKS that are heavy and fast AFTER a cruise. #1 qualifier MIGHT have the greatest chance at breaking.

LOL Virgil you had a mal-spelled word today that no one pointed out. I try to do another myself...

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that the fastest truck trophy be awarded after an elimination bracket. That way the green light @ the end decides who has the fastest ls powered truck.

The date has been set, lol, just read the sticky that went up weeks ago.
Same place, same time, guess what SAR stands for?

What does the rest of your post have to do with the race lol!!!?

If I remember correctly, the radio was blaring everywhere last year. ... Sucked at the Lightning meet too because you couldn't hear crap and it was impossible to organize anything.
Just because the fastest and slowest are lined up, doesn't mean anything. It makes for competition.
Why are you worried, you going to be the slowest truck out there? lol. jk.

Ya, we'll address the radio, so we can actually hear the announcer.

As for the L meet lol, that's a different story, nobody cared about that one.

10 mile cruise? I've got a 5 gal tank, WTH? No stops for fuel only?... who wants to be in my pit crew waiting on the side of the road

I vote this rule is eliminated if the truck is driven to the meet
