Extended warranties are all well and good, but the truck is only 2 years old with 30k miles on it, so it is still under factory warranty. We live in a pretty remote location so the stealer has to send the truck out to a body shop for the work. The body shop wrote the estimate, but now GM reuses to fix it. :bsflag:

does all the mods you have not void every warranty their is? When i installed my K&N intake, the service manager at the dealership i bought the truck at said that any part that is even remotely associated with the intake system would no longer be covered my warranty. Just because of the K&N!

na CAI wont and cat back exhaust wont but anything in between will. Thats what I have always heard. But they should cover that rust that sounds like a really ****ty factory paint job.

All brand new GM products are covered for rust, and yes a CAI will void a warranty, we've had two occasions where people came in with blown trannys do to people over oiling their KandNs. Keep calling the 1 800 number and try other dealerships.
