Right now I am fixing some rusted panels, then I am putting a new front end on. Hopefully by the end of next summer I will have a vette engine in it. I'm 16 and have bought everything in my truck at 8.00 an hour so that's all that matters IMO

I just installed a RCI pro street fuel cell in the back along with a holley fuel pump and all new lines, i did that because i had a hole in the tank so I decided to go a little different. installed everything myself-- now i got a nice fuel cell in the rear along with some memories of being in the garage till 1am in a school night if anyone wants to talk LS1 engines, or if someone has done a swap i would really appreciate talking to you about your swap and what was included, i was thinking of just replacing my engine with a 350, but the more i think about it, everyone has TBI and I want to be a little different!

Hey welcome to the board, these are the most knowledgable guys about the ls1 swap, I have asked questions on other boards and have received the best answers here. When I get the money I want to swap in an LS1/LS6 and get some experience under my belt. Have fun and enjoy.

Welcome to the forum. I am going to swap a LS1 this summer in my full size 1981 GMC. Although I perfer the LS1 another good swap is the LT1. It uses the older style 350 block but has multiport fuel injection not TBI and it is quite a bit cheaper that the LS1. It will also bolt into your truck with less modifications that the LS1. The down sides are the LT1 has less stock horse power and gets less fuel mileage that the LS1. Just a thought!!
