I'm doing that 6L install and the guy came by, so I started talking about a turbo setup and asked him if he wanted to do something. So , I'm not sure when, sometime within the next month or two, but it looks like a go.

I'll start doing research on what turbo, blow off and intercooler. I'm open to suggestions. All the other stuff should be straight forward.

It's gonna be a single turbo setup.

    later,

What are your boost requirements? A single would spool much faster!

I've been thinking about a turbo setup myself.. Single turbo would be dope and would spool up and WOULD give plenty of boost..thing is where ya gonna put it. I thought of going back to cast iron manifolds and looping forward and joining in a collector in front of the engine to the turbo.. piping every which way from there.. or.. Under the truck next to the tranny (m3 style)... there isnt a whole lot of room to play with on the sides of the engine due to wiring..steering shaft..etc.. so with twins, theyd have to be small and you'd need completely custom manifolds built.

as for blow off.. it'd have to release excess boost back into the front side of the turbo b/c the air has already been measured by the maf.

or you run pig rich and get a popoff sound like the cars

Theres a shop here in NM (HP Performance) thats been making mustang turbo kits for a while. But they started doing kits for a lot of other cars aswell. Including honda's, grand am's, 5.0's, newer mustangs and cobras, etc. But right now they're working on the LS1 kits for the vette's and F-bodies which should be done by the beginning of next year. Chevy trucks and suv's are also on their list. But for an example of their work, here's a pic of their kit for the newer civic's w/the 1.7L.
