I've been looking around for a ls1/6-speed tranny and have seen a range of prices what should I be looking at for a reasonable price for this combo with 50,000miles ? also what is the difference between the the truck 4.8 , 5.3, 6.0 and the ls1 besides displacement?

You're looking at $1800.00 to $4500.00 depending on the year model and mileage. As far as the 4.8 - 6.0 differences = gas mileage and horsepower. I have a fiend with a 2002 Camaro SS LS1 with tranny and all accessories, PCM wiring exhaust etc.. that's for sale with 20,000 miles on it. It's gonna run in the $4700.00 range plus shiiping if it hasn't been sold already. Remember you get what you pay for. It's a little high but LS1's are starting to get scarce unless you buy them from the GMPP.
