Hey guys. First and foremost, hello to everyone. This is my first post on LS1Truck. I have an issue though and hope you all could help. I have a 2001 Silverado RCSB 2wd 5.3. I put a new corvette servo in the transmission and didn't have any problems until I drove it to sonic and on the way home the cover popped out and a trans fluid bomb detonated under the truck. Giant mess. But the snap ring wasn't completely seated in the groove so I put it on jack stands and crawled underneath. The snap ring, cover and 4th apply piston all came out easy. But now the piston with the legs on it is lodged side ways. I spent 4+ hours trying to straighten it so it'd slide out but to no avail. I talked to a few friends (one who is a transmission guy) who said they're hard to get out when lodged but with enough work with a pry bar on the washer and e clip, it'll come out. I also read that you can drop the trans pan down to reveal a drain hole for the servo that can be pressurized with air to pop out the piston. I'm at a loss but still diligently working at it. Please send me any suggestions/tips/techniques on how to get it out. Thanks for reading my lengthy first post!
