Towing with a Trailblazer SS?

Im sure its been asked before and ive done some research but havent come up with a good answer. Ive got a 2008 trailblazer ss with an aux trans cooler and electronic trailer brakes. Im hoping to tow an 18' aluminum featherlite car trailer with my 97 chev race truck on it that weighs about 3800 pounds. then add the weight of me and 3 other passengers, bags, tools, grille, coolers full of food and beer, etc. will i be alright pulling with it? ive got a great extended warranty so i dont really care if it breaks but i dont want to be stranded. whats your guys thoughts?

You should be fine just watch your trans temps and oil pressure. I know the oil pan has some odd shape issue and leaves the pump dry sometimes. Factory capacity was over 6,000lbs.

alright cool thanks for the info. i just installed a trans temp gauge so ill keep an eye on it.

I would recommend changing up the oil pickup tube and pan for one that won't have the starvation issues so many folks are facing.

The design of the pan creates some issues with oil draining. The pickup tube/oil pan was poorly designed so some sloshing can create problems. Here is a fix.
