I was wondering if anybody could tell me what model transmission and rear locking differential I have in my 2013 Silverado z71?

Probably a 6L80 and 3.42's. maybe 3.23.

Call ur dealer they can decipher all that from the vin.

It turns out ut is the 6L80 and does have 3.42 diff. Diff info was right on the window sticker. Thanks for the info.

Got another question. What is the difference between a Z71 and the standard 4x4 Silverados other than a skid plate?

not all z71's these days are 4wd; just another package thrown together with popular options.
