    Ly6 with 180,000 miles

I have a ly6 (6.0 with vvt) it has 180,000 plus miles as what I was told when I bought it.
I was wondering is there anything I should do to it before I drop her in.

The reason I ask I've been told by a few people that the 2007 and up motors are eating cams and lifters is this true?

    Thanks

07 to early 09 would eat cams but if it has that many miles on it it should be fine. The cams were at fault not the motor.

So what y'all are saying is that I should tear it down and inspect it to make sure all is good?

Id Try removing that VVT cam , if it comes out freely I wouldn't worry about anything.those motors are stout.
