hi everyone my names chris i live in miami. Im doing my first ls swap into my 91 1500. 5.3 4l60. eventually want to go single turbo. i have come here to ls1 truck because i have found this site to be the most informative on tech. I also have a few other cars. 37 ford hotrod truck, 56 belair "no post" 29 ford coupe hotrod, its a mess. thanks for having me here and i will get to posting my journey with these swaps as soon as i can get the wiring fingered out.

thanks much. day after i sign up on board for info on my swap the tranny takes a dump. so its rebuild tranny or go through w 5.3 swap. i have most the parts already but im way confused on wiring.. i have a drive by wire swap with harness and computer and fuse box. i also have another 5.3 spare motor with the manual throttle body. i have read that i can not use the DBW computer with the manual throttle body... which sucks cuz i sorta have to get it done on the cheap. im considering finding the DBW pedal and harness and just sticking with what i have as far as swap wise and not going big dough on the harness for now.. this puppy is my daily and now im 2 days down w the fried tranny. any suggestions.. im looking to get it done as basic as i can. I have read alot about taking excess wires out of the harness and making it work. but all the diy i see on the harness is using an older harness with the blue and red plastics on the main plugs.. mine being the truck is blue and green... the only thing green is me and this whole wiring deal.
