    Factory Bose speakers

I have a base sound system in my nnbs and picked up a set of Bose front speakers rated at 1.9 ohms. I think the factory speakers are probably 8 but I'll have to see, but my question is, can I wire a set of tweeters in series with these to raise the impedance? Or is there another way to make them work?

I run my Bose off my JL amp just off the high side and push them hard. They work great, have been doing it for years. They are better than most aftermarket speaker Ive tried.

An amp and some aftermarket speakers are in the plans for down the road but right now I am just trying to get by cheap. Does anyone know offhand how low the factory head unit can safely handle? I thought about using resistors but it seems like that would consume the little power the factory unit puts out. That's what makes me think maybe some tweeters. If I could run some 4 ohm tweeters plus the Bose 1.9 and run them safely at 5.9 that would be great.
