Welcome from McAlester. I spent my Junior year at Stillwater. I'm sure we can help you with whatever you need. Nice Sundowns by the way.

Thank you! I built a 1.5 cube box tuned to 33hz for them if you care to know about it. I have a Kenwood kac9105d powering them. Should be about 900 watts rms. What did you study if you don't mind me asking?

Biochemistry. It was rough living in Stillwater. I'm a very sociable person and honestly partied myself out of school there. I've since gone to the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith and have increased my GPA drastically.

I was sort of an audio nut for 3-4 years. I had a DD9512 in a 3ft^3 @ 40 hz on a KX2500.1. The system I do for my new crew cab will be a pair of DD1508s receiving around 750 each. The box will be around 2ft^3 @ 35 hz.

You have to love Digital Designs. 153.8 with a single 12 (not legal scoring since it was a center console build) is impressive.

Yeah I see exactly where you're coming from. Freshman year hit me in the mouth hard. Lol I brought my grades up a lot in the second semester and am taking some online classes right now. I'm in finals week right now for my summer stuff.

I like dd's a lot but you I couldn't find them online. Plus all the guys on the audio forums recommended the sundown's over the dd's too. DD's pound for sure though!! I downloaded an audio meter on my computer and it said I was doing 150 at 40hz. Definitely not accurate at all but it was cool to use. I think my 8's would be high 130's to low 140's. My box really doesn't have enough port area though. May rebuild sometime, but it's good enough for me.

I use 18" of port area per cubic foot. It is normally plenty. The Sundowns are very nice subs. If you're looking at getting a DD, call them and order. You can't really get a sale on them, but since we are so far from a dealer, they will ship them for free and give you a pretty good price. I got my 9512 with custom voice coils for 720$ to my door. Stores were asking 900 for them at the time,.
