    O2 Sensor Replacement???

    Hey guys,

    So for those of you who do not know, I recently replaced the motor in my 2003 Silverado 1500, from a 4.8 to a 6.0. The only thing I decided not to replace was the O2 sensors... ok dumb idea

    So I have two questions:
    1. Should I get sensors for the 4.8 motor or the 6.0? Or are they the same thing?
    2. Can someone give me Bosch part #s? I don't really want to spend the money on Delphi and I trust Bosch's name.

    EDIT: I found that for the 4.8, the Bosch number is #15284. And for the 6.0, the numbers are 13694, 13178, and 15282... So my only question is which should I buy???

    seeing as you have a 6.0 motor, the 6.0 sensors make sense to me.
    2000 ECSB 5.3L with K&N CAI, true duals with flowmaster 40s, and 200k miles!

    They are the same. Get the sensors that have the correct pigtail and you will be fine. They juggled male/female connectors for a few years on these and I don't know which one you have just by reading. The best route to go on these is the Corvette O2 sesnors.

    If I order Corvette sensors, do I just match the year up? I have a 2003 Silverado 1500 LS, originally with the 4.8l (Now a 6.0l). And will it still pass smog if I use Corvette sensors? After all I do live in CA..

    You'll only need the 'Vette sensors if have cheapo thin-wall headers. No difference between 4.8 and 6.0 sensors, just get them to match the year of your truck so they plug in. As it was mentioned before, plugs changed almost yearly on them.

    Vette sensors are to get longer wiring to avoid using jumpers when long tubes are installed no matter the wall thickness. The sensors are the same and as suggested above, the only difference is the shape and style of the connector. GM does this to prevent mixing front and rear. In almost all cases, the two fronts are the same on a single vehicle and the two rears are the same. They're just different front to rear.
