    Help!!backfire problem

    engine light was on ,started noticing my truck when i first get on the gas it backfires through the cold air intake real loud kind of embarrasing lol...
    so i inspected the pushrods all are staright,when i came across 4 burnt msd wires,replaced them engine light went away but still backfires...sucks any ideas?
    if i dont find out what it is ill probly drop it off at the Dr.s office

    did you check the plugs, always check after a backfire.

    yea there good ,ngk's tr6....and its n/a no longer have n20...its everytime i floor it it pops through the intake freakin loud

    wierd, is the intake tube cracked possibly, maf ok, no injectors have popped up?? just trying to get rid of the simple stuff first.

    cai is good,the maf should be good i hope ,no ses light on,the injectors are bolted down nice and tight with new o rings as well

    damn dude sounds like mine when im spraying idk only thing i could think of is air getting in somewhere else, as a simple solution which for your sake i hope it is.

    Not to sound like a dick. But do you know what to actually look for in a pulled plug? A plug tells entire story of a motor

    I would not be beating on it till its fixed

    Check for speckling, heat range, and timing line.

    Ouch!!!! If you have access to compressed air then do a quick check and see what the problem is. Take the rockers off the three problem cylinders and hook the air up to each one. You will be able to hear where the problem is. Either leaking from exhaust, intake, or crankcase. Number 8 is definately hurt.

    Looks like the #8 ringland got lifted and particles probably got hung on the valves on #6 and #7.
