    My introduction

    What's up

I use to have an LS1 jeep wrangler, which I swapped in the LS1 myself in my garage. I let a relative use it for a few weeks and this is how it ended up.

Everything is totaled, but the engine/trans (and of course axles)

I'm not big into off roading anymore.. so I have been looking into getting a newer body style silverado, V6 (since they are way cheaper) and swapping out the LS1 I use to have in my jeep into the truck. So I am here just to get some info, since I haven't even bought a truck

Wow, that sucks. Was it payed off? If not are you going to buy it back and strip it. This thread is helpful. http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/v8-co...wap-guide.html Ducky also did a V6 to V8 swap.

yeah was paid off, the bad thing is though there was minimum insurance on it- the kind where if you get into a wreck it pays for the other car and not yours. Luckily, the family member offered up a fair amount of $$ to replace it (which would be used to get the new truck)

I plan on selling everything I can from it

thanks for the link, exactly what I am looking for
