This was 3 months in the build, wires were all over the place, but i wanted to make sure it would run before I tied them all up

I dunno man, I dunno. I love the 72-93's (I have a 1 of 83 '77 myself) and I'm a fan of the LS motors. I've even thought of combining them too, but I just didn't have the heart to do it. But still a very nice truck

Trust me I debated this for over a YEAR!!!! The truck was all original with the 318 when my dad bought it new from the dealer back in 88....drove it 210,000 miles gave it to me....I drove it hard and things just kept breaking, decided to swap in a 440 and have been running that since 2005-2010, gas was killing me, so I bought a Camaro, camaro runs mid 10's now and still gets 22 mpgs on the highway. The 440 kept giving me problems, minor oil leaks, starter issues when hot, charging issues, been through 3 727 trans.....7-9 mpgs, horrible cold starts...endless, came across a ls1 with computer for $600 and I couldn't pass it up...I then put the 440 stuff all for sale, ended up getting $2300 for it all........so fat into this swap I an $1900 or so, all labor was done my me.
I posted this on some of the dodge forums and they all ask WHY?.......well bacause I got a complete LS1 for $600, a torn apart 4l60e for $100( $40 in parts went back together)...a $100 np208, it just made sense.........Some ask why not a HEMI? Hemi's are great motors that create alot of tq and HP, but where are they? with computer and harness? also I would need a pass. drop t-case for one since dodge changed locationin the mid 90's, gm stuff just seemed to be the answer. Plus I can swap motor parts from my Camaro to my truck, saves me more times and money.
