    81' C10 SWB, 6.2L LS3/6L80e, I'm STOKED!!!!!

    Guys,

    My name's Justin.

This is my first project truck or vehicle ever attempted...

Just got an 81' C10 Short Bed Fleetside i picked up for $300. I just bought a 6.2L LS3/4L60e from a wrecked 2010 Camaro. It's being delivered now.

I've got almost everything off the front end and much out of the engine bay(engine coming out tomorrow).

Removed the bench seat, carpet, headliner, door panels, half of the dash, steering column, etc, etc, etc,...

Ordered almost $3000 worth of goodies from LMCtruck. They're in the mail now. Now I'm chompin' at the bit to get started...

I'm a newb and this is my first build and thread ever so I'm gonna have a LOT of questions for you guys.

I'm really excited and looking forward to it.

Let me know what you guys think...any tips, comments, questions

Here's some pictures of what I got now......

Nice! I thought the 'maros came with a 6 speed auto?

Cam & stall that thing before you put it in!

Ya that 4l60e wouldnt last two weeks behind an LS3.

    As far as tips...
Measure twice - cut once, label everything, listen to the folks on LS1Truck.com, and dont make it harder than it is!

Yeah, sorry it is a 6L80. I've looked at so many combos during the last two weeks, I got confused lol.

And I guess technically it's a L99. All I know is it's making me drool thinkin about it.

Anyone on here running this setup?

I got some questions about tranny linkage, steering column, and possible paddle shifters that come in the camaro. I want to incorperate those in the truck some way.
