    2007 4L80E swap

    Hey guys,
I came across a 2007 4L80E tranny with 27000miles from a hd 4x4 with a 6.0 (im not sure if it is from a nnbs or nbs or if that even matters) it comes with the converter. will this bolt up to my 5.3? I know there is alot of work involved in the swap but I did't know if i needed an adaptor. Also are there any things I should look out for or any reccomendations before i buy it I'm not sure how honest of a person this guy is.
    Thanks guys

you will need the flywheel and the spacer(i dunno if they have spacers on the newer 6.0)

id get a stall too that stock converter is going to suck. you will need to change the yoke on your driveshaft, and you will have to cut your tranny mount to allow the 80e to bolt in. i may be missing a few other things.

Getting this swap to run right is 99% tuning/electrical/having the right PCM/TCM. Read Greg's writeup.

yeah, I put one in mine, 2002 4L80e into a NNBS 2007 GMT900 reg cab short bed 4.8L. Trans is solid as hell in the new truck and the swap was very simple after I figured out how to control it with the 2008 van TCM.

so will the 4x4 tranny work with my truck? are the 2wd's different than the 4wd's? can i tell if the internals are good without opening it up? also what years of the 4l80e are compatible with my 07 nnbs?
