    5.3 to 6.0 Swap

I just got my 6.0L engine to swap into my 04' that had a 5.3 engine. The engine I got has the 3 bolt throttle body, and has 9k miles on it. If I want to keep the 6.0L intake and throttle body, what do i need to do. I have been lookingat post and haven't found a good answer. everything looks the same right down to the fuel rails.

Install it, if it all looks the same, that means it will work the same and everything hooks up the same. Hurry up and stab that thing!

Ok the motor is in and starts right up. I'm trying to figure out why the motor is stumbling. It is comming up with a random/multiple misfire code. Any ideas.

Could be a lot of things but is probably something simple. Check to make sure your plug wires are on all the way, check health of plugs. If it continues test your coils.

That is what I am hoping for. The plugs and wires are all new. The one header is leaking where the downpipe attaches to, hopefully that is the major issue.

No go, still won't idle. Runs great at 1000rpms and higher. I think the tune needs to be adjusted. I'm going to call Nelson tommorow.
