4l60e to t56 swap info needed plz.....

After after lookin at prices for another built transmission. i was thinkin i could just do a swap and never have to worry about a transmission goin out......

What all would be needed for the swap?
i guess i could prolly use a crossmember out of a manual truck, along with pedal assembly. How bout the speed sensor and neutral safety switch?

    thanks,
    dennis

I would like to know some of the same info.

I know my 60e is going to burn out within the next year... And i have a LT1 t56 setting around in a pile with a old 400turbo.

Im interested to know what it would take to make the t56 work.

It would be so sweet to have a 6 speed in a truck. I may consider aswell, depending on what it takes.

Well a stock t56 ant that strong especially in a truck. Im not saying it will blow but it might not be as bullet proof as you think it is.
