    Need Header Opinion!!

Ok so I plan on buying a set of headers for my truck with in the next couple weeks, and I am some what torn besides which ones to get. I live in Connecticut most of the year so I like the fact that the pacesetters are ceramic coated and are not supposed to rust, I know alot of people have these and like them, but Ive also read some threads on here where some people say they didnt like them and they are rusting and falling apart, with that said Ive also been looking at the LPP longtubes and have heard tons of good things about them the only thing stopping me from getting those is the fact that they arent coated but they are stainless and I am worried about them rusting, now ive seen some stainless rust and ive also seen some not rust im assuming it depends on the grade of stainless. Now anyone out there with the LPPs have they started to rust at all? Ive alson looked at the OBX copies on ebay and have heard some what good things about those as well but I wasnt sure how well they would hold up with all the crap they put on the new england roads and Im also not sure if I like the part about extending the plug wire so it doesnt hit the tubing. But any opinions or suggestions would be awesome! Thanks alot

I've been running LPP's for about a year now and they have lost their polished shiny look. I don't want to say they are rotting away, they have some surface rust where the heat is concentrated on the primaries. They are very nice headers however with extremely thick flanges and excellent build quality. If I could do it again I would've had them ceramic coated for more protection but they are something like 304 stainless (dont quote me on that). So even if they rust some on the surface the are still going to outlive the truck, they just wont be as pretty as they once were. The combination of the Nelson Tune, LPP long tubes, ORY, and my Gibson Extreme Dual setup produces an awesome soundtrack too.

PS - I live south of Buffalo where they salt all the time in the winter so my truck has been exposed to very similar, if not worse, conditions that yours will be.

Thanks for the info! If anyone else has any input that would be awesome too. I was toying around with the Idea of possibly getting the LPPs and then seeing if I could get a deal on ceramic coating. Theres a shop down the street from where I work that does it but the guy always wants to see the peice before he gives a quote, anyone have any idea on what it might cost roughly to get a set of headers ceramic coated?
