What is the difference between Dextron VI and III? Any benifits from the VI over the III? I replaced the cooler lines and had to add some fluid and used Dextron III. Gonna change the tranny fluid in the near future and am curious.

2010 Silverado ECSB LS 4x4. Only mods so far are a K&N drop in filter and a Rough Country 2" front level kit
VI-III = III
I use dexIII in everything I build.

You'll be fine with Dex III. Dex IV was designed mainly for the new 6 speed autos.

Dex VI is backwards compatible for Dex III. A lot of stores are only stocking Dex VI now it seems.
