4.8 enging build help
Ok so me and my buddy are gunna beef up a 4.8 were mainly doing boltons we want a bigger throttle body a good streetable cam that we dont have to change the stall converter maybe some valvetrain upgrades and a nelson tune any suggestions on the cam and throttle body nothing too radical just somthing that has alot of lowend power and good midrange
Your throttle body is fine. Get a tune first off, some long tube headers.
A stall with help your 4.8 out alot.
if you dont want a stall get a 216 or 218 cam
get gears...4:10s or so your 4.8 will love them.

4000 stall and something in the 220 range @ .050
Yehh well its my daily driver ive already got the 410s but i dont want that high of a stall id hate to burn it up because i drive alot...
get a circle d 3k stall for $375 and a Thunder Racing tr220 cam.

X3, That would be an awesome setup, I wouldn't go much bigger than that in a 4.8 either...bigger isn't always better.
