    Unhappy vortex max trucks, 4l70E?

i've been doing some research on these trucks since im going to use the motor and rear end out of one if i ever find them. But my question is i dont know much about the transmissions in these trucks i thought i heard they had a 4l70E in them? Just trying to educate myself and couldnt think of a better place to ask this question with the wealth of info and help here.

I am not sure about the trans. The rear ends are great. They cost about 2300.00 from a junk yard. You can get by with a cheaper one the width will be different though. Search 14 bolt swap. I would not waste my time on a 4l70 do a 4l80 swap.

Yeah i'll be happy to have that 14bolt i don't know how much that poor 10bolt is gonna hold Ok so it is a 4l70e, well i was gonna do the 4l80e swap but too much of a pain in the ass especially since mine is 4wd figured if the 70was the smae dimensions as the 60 then i'd go for it but thats what im thring to find out

In the real world there is hardly a difference in the 65 and the 70.

If you make enough power to break a decent posi in a 10 bolt then you will want to go 4l80. The swap isnt that bad.
